On windows, doors, rafters, decorative columns, basically on all parts of the house, mold spores can be found everywhere you can possibly think of, as such there are quite unavoidable. However, unless there has been flooding or serious plumbing issues, serious mold spore problems are unusual and a rare occurrence.

If the said mold spores fall on damp or moist surfaces, especially in dark and humid places, then they uncontrollably grow and become problematic to quite a number of people. As such, when it comes to prevention of mold spores growth, moisture in all surfaces has to be controlled. Stagnant lying water on the area in question must be dried out within a day or two days so as to prevent the growth of both the unwanted mold and the mildew.

Black mold removal has increasingly become a necessity for a majority of homeowners owing to a variety of health related concerns. To say the truth, both old and new homes are all at risk when it comes to the growth of all types of molds. So as to be able to effectively remove the black mold in a place, its growth process must clearly be understood by all. When humidity or moisture reacts with normal mold spores, a cellulose (wood) digesting enzyme is secreted by their roots, which are also referred to as hyphae. More and more mold spores continue to multiply uncontrollably and spreading through the air. These are then spread by a number of things, one of them being the wind, which floats them away landing them further away, whereby the cycle restarts all over again.

Generally, some black mold is non- toxic and mostly does not cause problems to a majority of people. Despite this fact, it produces spores that may cause sensitivity (allergic) reactions that are similar to those brought about by things such as pet dander, plant pollen and the likes to some people. The main cause of chronic sinus health conditions can one way or another be linked to mold proliferation in a given surface, non-toxic or toxic. This being so, a lot of experts concur that black mold, both toxic and non-toxic, and all fungi have to be removed.

However, it takes keen inspection and investigation to determine if your business or home is contaminated with black mold. Some indicators and causes of mold manifestation in a place are such as; moldy odor, humidity, flooding, poor drainage, water leaks, damp basement, moldy wall stains to name but a few. People living in such places are likely to develop headaches, difficulty concentrating, respiratory problems, decreased attention span, and dizziness among many other health related issues.

All in all, if you find out that you have a black mold problem in your place, the best thing to do is to hire an expert so as to help in its removal and containment. If you opt to remove it yourself, then proper protection clothing and equipments, for example appropriate gloves, goggles (eye protection), respirators and so forth have to be worn so as to avoid unnecessary mold exposure. However, the key to proper black mold removal is prevention. Generally, black mold require moisture and humidity for its growth and propagation. As such, by appropriately controlling the moisture and humidity levels in a place, it is possible to prevent mold and mildew growth, thereafter its proliferation from occurring.
